Narumi Iyama is an avant-garde sound designer, multi instrumentalist originally from Osaka, Japan.
She has moved to New York in 2011 to pursue her music career and has been focusing on expressing her inner self through her extremely unique sound produced by both analog/electronic instruments including a use of audio programming language such as SuperCollider and Max/MSP.
Narumi is best known for her presence in LOVE SPREAD, an experimental bit-pop project based in Brooklyn, New York, where she uses mix of hacked electronic devices/live instruments to produce and to perform music.
Her first solo is scheduled to be released in September 2016 from Concent’s sub label “Personal Affair”, and will be available on Cassette and Digital format. Narumi has taken her creativity even further, and has successfully established a distinct style of sound that might change one’s perspective towards Japanese electronic music.
